Privacy at Movies Recapped

Updated

Movies Recapped Project operates this site. For privacy questions or requests, contact legal@moviesrecapped.com.

Browsing and searching

You can browse titles and compare recaps without an account. Search terms, filters, and other choices can appear in the page address and your browser history. The site uses browser storage to help return you to your place in Browse. Your browser’s own settings can affect that storage and history.

Our hosting service receives requests when you use the site. These requests and related operational information may be processed for delivering, operating, and protecting the service. Movies Recapped uses Vercel to host the site and Neon to store the catalog and restricted operator records. Providers may keep operational logs and recovery information under their own practices. The project also keeps limited recovery archives of catalog and operator records. Vercel’s privacy notice explains its practices.

Watching a recap

Recaps are hosted by YouTube. Choose Play to load the selected recap in the embedded YouTube player, or choose Open on YouTube to visit the video there. You can continue browsing and comparing recaps without playing one. This site does not save a media preference; Play is a choice you make for each player load.

When you load the player or visit YouTube, you connect to YouTube and its practices apply. See Google’s privacy policy for more information. Links to sources and credits also take you to other sites, which have their own practices.

Operator access and security

Operator sign-in is restricted and uses an email address and password. The site uses a session cookie and access signals to support sign-in and security; browser storage can also help coordinate access across tabs. Sign-in uses a Cloudflare security challenge. During verification, the site sends the validated client IP address to Cloudflare. See the Cloudflare Turnstile privacy policy for its practices.
